Hey everyone!

Welcome to the Unbound Apparel blog! Here you'll find information on updates, upcoming designs and I'm sure some random posts once in awhile :)

For starters, my name is Emily and I am aspiring to manage my own clothing company. My clothing will be a bit different from others as I'm going to be creating an androgynous line. For starters, we'll start by targeting the urbane tomboy. What's an urbane tomboy you might ask? It's the new hip word for the female equivalent of the "meterosexual". Women who's style is androgynous. Being one myself, it's always hard for me to find clothes I like to wear and usually, I find myself shopping in the men's department. Kind of annoying if you ask me since there are no sizes that fit women properly.

I want to change this. I want to be able to create androgynous clothing that is stylish yet comfortable. I decided to start off with t-shirt designs that express what this clothing line is about. As time progresses, I will also tap into a men's line. However, this may sound like a separation in gender, but the difference is, it can be worn by both sexes. My ultimate goal will be to design actual tailored clothing that both men and women can wear, which will be sweet! So, come and enjoy the ride with me!

Good luck with your efforts. I look forward to seeing your line as it grows; I'm specifically interested to see if you'll have some collared shirts, maybe some vests, jackets, etc.? Are these a possibility? I've always felt that my ideal style would be somewhere between both the women's & men's section(s). I think men's collared shirts have cleaner lines -- simple and neat -- but they never fit properly.
Best,

Sparky

Hey Sparky,

Thanks for support! I am in the same boat as you when it comes to style so I know where you're coming from. I do want to venture into tailored clothing such as collared shirts, jackets, jeans, etc. That will be my ultimate goal, however, right now t-shirt designs seem the most practical. I will be adding more to the line each month so keep a look out! Thanks again! I wanted to write you an email but for some reason it wouldn't let me see your email address.
